We have a classic sweet recipe that you have to try before Christmas. Dipped in toasted hazelnuts, these truffles will make a wonderful holiday treat.

  • 1 oz. unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
  • 6 Tbs. butter
  • 1 C. hazelnut spread
  • 1/2 C. hazelnuts

On top of a double boiler, mix chocolates and butter over simmering water. Remove mixture from hot water and stir in hazelnut spread. Pour mixture on small baking sheet. Freeze for 1 hour.

Meanwhile, toast hazelnuts by heating a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add single layer of nuts on bottom of pan. Stir frequently for 12 to 15 minutes or until nuts turn golden brown. Remove from heat. Chop nuts into small pieces.

Roll chocolate mixture into 1/2-inch balls. Dust crushed hazelnuts on chocolates. Place in covered container and store in freezer.
