Tomato Salad

This is another Italian family recipe. My husband's mother made this a lot, especially good in the summer with your own, home grown tomatoes. Nice with a lean grilled steak and baked potato with all the fixins'.

  • 4-5 good size ripe tomatoes
  • salt
  • pepper
  • garlic salt
  • vegetable oil

Dice tomatoes and place in a bowl. Sprinkle with some garlic salt on top, toss. Add more garlic salt to your own liking. Sprinkle with pepper and add salt (only if needed). Pour just a tiny bit of vegetable oil over tomatoes and toss (add more oil to your own taste). Let sit for a few minutes (or refrigerate for an hour or so) before serving.
