  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • ¼ C. powdered sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. baking powder
  • ½ C. flour
  • ½ tsp. vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together butter and powdered sugar until pale and creamy; briefly mix in vanilla. Sift in flour and baking powder until a dough forms. Transfer to a piping bag and use a star nozzle to make whirls or any shape you like onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden. Let cool completely before serving or decorating.
