  • 2 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. peper
  • 1 1/2 C. beer
  • 3 lb. skinless cod fillets
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Prepared French fries

Heat about 2 inches of cooking oil in a skillet. In a mixing bowl, mix flour, paprika, salt and pepper. Slowly add beer, stirring until smooth. Dip each fish piece, one at a time, into batter, allowing excess to drain off, then place into hot oil. Cook about 4 to 5 minutes, turning once. After both sides are golden brown and crispy, remove with a slotted spoon, and keep warm in oven until all portions are cooked. Serve with hot fries.
