This is a great quick and easy recipe to make for dinner. Goulash is usually not make with ketchup, so this is a new take on an international favorite. There's not better way to celebrate National Ketchup Day than with this dish.

  • 3 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 medium white onion, diced
  • 1 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 lb. elbow macaroni
  • 1 can tomato juice
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 parsley roots, chopped
  • 1/3 C ketchup
  • Salt
  • Pepper

In a pot, bring water to boil and follow cooking instructions for elbow pasta. Drain.

Season ground beef with salt and pepper and shape into meatballs. Cook meatballs and onion together with Worcestershire sauce until beef is brown. Add the beef mixture to pasta.

Turn heat to low and add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato juice and ketchup to pot. Add in carrots and parsley root. Use salt and pepper if needed.
