It may sound weird, but trust me, you want to make this recipe AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! Just make sure you use a CLEAN trash can!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 C. Garlic
  • 1 C. Butter, melted
  • 1/4 C. Paprika or your choice of spices
  • 2 C. of your favorite stuffing/dressing

Directions

Season the turkey with mixed Garlic, butter sauce and spices. Place heavy-duty foil on the ground in a three-foot square configuration. Place two bricks on the foil, a pan on the bricks, and a rack over the pan. Place the seasoned and injected turkey on the rack, breast up. Invert the trashcan over the entire affair. Light coals in the lid of the trashcan, using 1 lb. of charcoal for every lb. of turkey. When the coals are white, shovel them all around the bottom of the trashcan (actually the top, but...) on the ground, reserving just enough to cover the top (actually the bottom!) of the trashcan. Wrap the excess foil over the coals. Leave the turkey in for 8 minutes per lb. (ex. A 10-lb. turkey needs to cook for 80 minutes). The beauty of this is that you don't have to do anything else...no basting, no turning, no nothing...just wait. The cleanup is neat, too...just throw the stuff away (not the trash can... you're going to want to do this again!).
