Truffles Rolled In Hot Chocolate

To add something new to an ordinary truffle recipe, simply roll the sweet treats in hot chocolate mix. They look pretty and taste good.

  • 1/4 C. butter
  • 1/2 C. confectioners sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 8 oz. chocolate, broken into small pieces
  • 1 C. hot cocoa mix

Pour chocolate and butter in the top of a double boiler over low heat. Stir constantly. Remove from heat. Add sugar, egg yolk and vanilla extract. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Pour mixture into casserole dish. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. Shape mixture into 1-inch balls. Roll in hot cocoa mix. Refrigerate for at least 8 hours.
