Not only are these Sloppy Joe’s made healthier by using turkey they are also cheaper. Ground turkey is about half the price of beef, but the delicious flavor remains.

  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 lb. lean ground turkey
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 C. tomato paste
  • 4 Tbs. cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 6 buns

In a greased skillet, cook onions and pepper until they are soft, about 5 minutes. Add in the meat and cook until browned. Be sure to crumble it as it cooks. Add in remaining ingredients. Cook and stir for 5 more minutes. Spoon onto buns before serving.
