Wonderful, thick and rich. What a wonderful way to use your favorite side dishes in a soup! Typically made with leftovers on Thanksgiving, we love this hearty dish for the family any time of year.

8-10 servings


  • Turkey leftovers
  • 1 C. celery
  • 1 C. leftover mashed potatoes
  • 1 C. leftover green bean casserole
  • 2 C. leftover veggies
  • 2 C. leftover dressing (stuffing)
  • Enough water to fill the crockpot
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 C. gravy
  • 1 C. instant rice (optional)

Fill crockpot halfway with water and put in leftover turkey pieces. Cook on low for 12 hours. Drain turkey and water in colander into a big pot. Put water back in crockpot and any turkey without the bones. Put in remaining ingredients and fill crockpot with water to top without overflowing. Cook 12 more hours on low or until all is cooked. Add spices to taste.
