Upside-Down Chocolate Cake

Let your crockpot make dessert for you tonight!

Ingredients

  • 1 C. Bisquick
  • 1 C. sugar
  • 1/3 C. plus 3 Tbs. unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/2 C. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 2/3 C. hot water

Directions

Mix Bisquick, 1/2 C. sugar, 3 Tbs. cocoa, milk and vanilla. Spoon batter evenly into lightly greased crockpot. Mix remaining sugar, cocoa, and hot tap water. Pour over the batter in the crockpot. Cook on HIGH 2-1/2 hours until center of cake springs back to touch.

Note: Serve with whipped topping, chocolate sauce or ice cream, if desired.

  • I tried this cake, it does taste good, but the recipe doesn't say to cook with lid on or not. I left lid on, cake was gooey in the middle.
