  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup bourbon
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¾ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs

Line two muffin tins with cupcake liners and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, mix the milk and bourbon together. With a bowl attached to a standard mixer, add the eggs, brown sugar, and white sugar. Beat the mixture until it is smooth and then add the eggs one at a time. Beat the mixture after adding each egg. Beat in the vanilla. Pour some of the flour mixture into the sugar mixture and whisk together. Then add some of the milk mixture into the sugar mixture and whisk. Repeat this alternating process until everything is mixed completely. The batter should be smooth. Fill the cupcake liners with batter and bake for 22 minutes. Cool in the pan and then cool on a wire rack. Frost with vanilla icing and serve.
