Veggie Melts
Ingredients
- 1 loaf of refrigerated French bread dough
- 3 plum tomatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 small zucchini, thinly sliced
- 1 8 oz. block mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
- 1 Tbs. fresh basil leaves, snipped
- 1/2 C. mayonnaise
- 1 garlic clove, minced
Directions
Cook the bread loaf according to package instructions (or you can substitute for a French baguette loaf). Once cooled completely, slice into 1/4-inch thick slices and place on a baking sheet. Preheat oven to
425 degrees. Combine mayonnaise, basil and garlic. Spread 1 Tbs. mayonnaise mixture over each bread slice. Top each bread slice with zucchini, tomato and cheese slices. Bake 10-12 minutes or unitl cheese is melted and golden. Serve warm.
