Versatile Strawberry And Lemon Compote

- 1 1/2 C. frozen strawberries, sliced
- 1/2 C. sugar
- 3 C. water
- 2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- half lemon, sliced
Combine strawberries, sugar, water, lemon slices and lemon juice in a saucepan, and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Cook for about 20 minutes. Chill, add a splash of vodka and garnish with mint leaves and you got yourself a summery cocktail.
