These waffle potato fries are seasoned in distinctive sea salt. These fries make an excellent side to pair with anything from burgers to fish.

  • 6 Russet Potatoes (scrubbed clean)
  • 1 tbsp sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Salt (plus more to garnish if desired)
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground Black Pepper
  • Vegetable Oil for frying

Begin by preheating the oil to 325 degrees F. Then cut the potatoes using the waffle blade. Begin to par cook the potatoes in a heated oil for about 5-6 minutes. Remove from oil.  Allow par cooked potatoes cool and then blot with paper towel.  Increase oil temperature to 360 degrees F. In a large bowl, add the spices together and mix.  Toss the potatoes in the bowl and thorough coat.  Then place in the oil and fry for about 4 minutes or until crispy.  Remove to a paper towel and let cool.
