Walnut Cookies

Ingredients
- 5 C. ground walnuts
- 1/2 C. farina
- 2 Tbs. ouzo
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 3 lg. eggs
- 1 C. granulated sugar
- 1/2 lb. confectioner’s sugar
- rose water
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease two cookie sheets. Combine in bowl the walnuts, farina, rose water and cinnamon, and blend. Beat the eggs and granulated sugar in large electric mixer bowl until light and creamy. Remove from mixer. Add the walnut mixture and, using a rubber spatula, blend well. Take teaspoons of the mixture and shape into 1-inch balls. Place on cookie sheet. Bake only 6-7 minutes. Remove from oven. Cool for 5 minutes. Spray with rose water and dip, 1 by 1, in confectioner’s sugar.
