This dish makes a great appetizer, entree and side. Not only can you pair it with almost any meal, but it's easy to make. The whiskey glaze makes it a favorite among adults.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter, Divided
  • 2 bunches carrots, peeled
  • 1/2 C whiskey
  • 3/4 cups (to 1 Cup) Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tbs. French tarragon, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Directions

Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over high heat. Add carrots and cook for 60-90 seconds. Remove from skillet.

Pour in whiskey and heat for 30 seconds on high heat. Reduce to medium heat and add remaining butter. Sprinkle brown sugar on top and then add carrots back. Cover and cook for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Continue cooking until carrots are glazed, an additional 5 minutes.

Top with French tarragon and serve warm.
