  • 1 (8 oz.) package pasta, cooked and drained
  • 2 T. butter
  • 2 T. flour
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ C. milk
  • ½ C. half-and-half
  • ½ C. white cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ½ C. Parmesan cheese, shredded
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • Zest from 1 lemon
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour until beginning to brown. Pour in milk, half-and-half, and garlic. Whisk for about 3 to 4 minutes as the mixture begins to thicken. Stir in white cheddar, Parmesan, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Once well combined, pour over cooked pasta in a greased baking dish. Stir in lemon zest and parsley; bake for 15 minutes until bubbly.
