Ingredients

  • 3 C. whole wheat flour
  • 1 C. sugar
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 C. milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 C. nut meats
  • 1 C. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 C. dates or raisins (optional)

Directions

Beat egg, add milk. Add all ingredients to egg and milk mixture. Stir smooth. Put in pans and let stand twenty minutes. Bake 45 minutes in moderate 350-degree oven. Add dates or raisins if desired.
