  • 2 C. butter
  • 1 1⁄2
oz. fresh sage
  • 1 
lb. bacon
  • 1 
  • 1 
garlic clove
  • Pepper

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Remove the giblets and neck from turkey. Rinse the turkey under cold water. Dry it with paper towel. Chop the garlic and onion and mix them. Stuff the turkey with this mixture. Tie up the turkey’s wings and legs with the kitchen twine. Dice up the sage and combine it with the softened butter. Rub the mixture of sage and butter over the turkey and under the skin of the turkey. Wrap the turkey with the bacon. Place the turkey into a foiled roasting pan. Let the turkey roast for 3 hours.
