Ingredients

  • 4 chicken legs, boiled or roasted to preference
  • 2 C. water
  • 1 C. white rice
  • 2 T. oil
  • 1 tsp. ground turmeric
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 C. peas
  • ½ onion, diced

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a saucepan, bring water to a boil and stir in rice, oil, turmeric, and garlic powder. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes until water is absorbed. Transfer into a baking sheet and mix in onions. Place chicken legs on top of rice or shred and mix in. Bake for 20 minutes as onions soften.
