  • 1 1/2 cups of sprite
  • 1/2 a cup of olive oil
  • 1/2 a cup of soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 4 (6 ounce) skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 1 Lime, zested and cut into lengthwise quarters

First combine the sprite, lime zest, olive oil, soy sauce, and garlic powder in a large bowl and whisk together until well combined. Then pour the mixture into a large reseal-able plastic bag.
Add the chicken to the bag so it will be submerged and completely covered in the marinade. Get rid of any extra air that is in the bag and make sure to close it tightly. Then marinate the chicken in the refrigerator overnight.
Preheat the grill to medium heat and lightly oil the grate.
Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the leftover liquid. Cook the chicken on the grill until the meat is no longer pink the center and the juices run clear. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F.
Take the chicken off of the grill serve on a platter. For extra flavor, squeeze limes over individual pieces.
