Ingredients

  • 1 qt. oil for frying
  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions

Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease the inside of a shallow baking dish. Heat oil in a large skillet until hot. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Form one-inch balls with mixture. Toss in skillet and fry for 3 minutes. Transfer meatballs to baking dish and bake until heated through.
