This super easy cobbler just screams fall! We go right to the farm market as soon as the apples are ready and we ALWAYS make this cobbler, the first dessert of the season! Our fall cobbler is full of Gala and Granny Smith apples, pomegranate seeds, cinnamon, and a nutty walnut crust.

In a large bowl, combine apples, pomegranate seeds, white and brown sugars, 2 tablespoons flour, cinnamon, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Mix all ingredients with hands until completely incorporated. Pour apple mixture into a buttered 9"x13" baking dish. Dot apples with softened butter. In another large bowl, combine topping ingredients (flour, white sugar, baking powder, salt, melted butter, egg, milk, and walnuts) and mix until completely combined. Drop batter in 6 even portions over the apple mixture. Bake for 40-50 minutes at 350 degrees or until apples are tender and crust is a beautiful golden brown. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream!
