  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • ¼ pound of smoked ham
  • ¼ pound of bacon
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ½ cup of seasoned croutons, crushed
  • ½ cup of onion, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of chili powder
  • Tomato, diced
  • Lettuce, chopped
  • Pickles
  • American cheese slices
  • ¼ cup of whiskey
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch

For the burger:
As a skillet preheats with oil, mix together the ground beef, egg, crushed croutons, chili powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Shape the ground beef mixture into medium sized, oval patties and fry for 5 minutes on each side. In a separate skillet, fry the bacon. With the leftover bacon grease, caramelize the onions for 20 minutes.
To construct the burger, place a heaping tablespoon of the whiskey sauce onto a bun with a slice of cheese, bacon, ham, caramelized onion, tomato, pickle, and lettuce. Serve and enjoy!

For the sauce:
While the meat cooks, whisk together whiskey, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and cornstarch. Let simmer for ten minutes, or until sauce is thick.
