  • 1 lbs. lean ground beef
  • 1 1/2 T. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 2 T. unsalted butter
  • 4 Pepper Jack, slices
  • 1 lbs Applewood smoked bacon, sliced
  • 2 C. fresh arugula
  • 2 C. garlic basil mayonnaise
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 C. lettuce, sliced
  • 4 whole wheat buns, toasted
  • 1 C. sriracha sauce

Begin by seasoning the ground beef with oil, salt, and pepper. Toss the fresh arugula and oil together and sprinkle with salt and pepper in a separate bowl. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and form beef into patties and add to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes per side, top each burger with a few slices of cheese while they are cooking. To assemble burgers, spread a bit of butter on the bottom of each bun, then top with the burger, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, garlic basil mayonnaise, bacon, sriracha sauce, and arugula.
