Biscuits and Sausage Gravy

Biscuits and sausage gravy is one of the best recipes for breakfast because it is extremely easy to rustle up and the combination of hot buttermilk biscuits along with a creamy and velvety sausage gravy is simply a match made in heaven! This recipe is a favorite amongst families because it appeals to kids as well as the adults. The sauce is more or less like white sauce, but a less fattening one. As for the seasoning of the recipe, it is really no fuss at all because it calls for the use of salt and pepper only.

Take the biscuits out of their package and bake them as per the directions mentioned in the packet. In a large skillet, put the pork sausage crumble and cook for 6-7 minutes until it is completely heated through. Now, stir in the flour and add milk gradually to the mixture ensuring that there is no formation of lumps. Stir constantly and bring to a boil. Then, simmer for 2-3 minutes while stirring constantly. Now just before turning off the flame, season the gravy with salt and pepper and pour it on top of the baked biscuits.
