  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ cup butter
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 package of sausage crumbles
  • 2 ½ cups milk
  • 3 ¼ cup flour
  • Salt and pepper
  • Can of gravy

First preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Then, whisk the flour, sugar, salt, baking soda, and baking powder in a large bowl. Add the butter until the combination is coarse. Add the buttermilk and stir. Use about ¼ cup for each biscuit, place the biscuits on a baking sheet, and bake for about 15 minutes. While the biscuits are in the oven, cook the sausage in a large skillet for 5 minutes over medium heat. Stir frequently. Then stir in the flour and gradually add the milk. When the mixture comes to a boil and thickens, stir consistently and season with salt and pepper. After the biscuits are done, put meat and gravy on half of them and place the other half of the biscuits on top to complete the meal.
