Blender Chocolate Mousse

Make your own mousse in the blender to revile any restaurant's.

  • 1/2 C. milk
  • 1 C. heavy cream
  • 2 tsp. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. instant coffee
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 oz. chocolate chips
  • 2 tsp. rum, cognac or brandy
  • 1 tsp. powdered sugar

Heat 1/2 C. milk and 1/2 C. cream until it bubbles. Remove before burning. In blender mix butter, eggs, coffee, chocolate chips, and liquor until creamy. On low speed, drizzle in scalded milk. Blend until smooth (1-2 minutes). Put in serving dishes. Refrigerate. Beat remaining cream and powdered sugar. Serve on top with chocolate shavings.
