Switch up the classic summer lemonade by adding some blueberries to the mix! This quick and easy recipe is sweet, cool, and refreshing.

  • ½ Cup of Sugar
  • 4 Cups of Water
  • 1 ½ Cups of Blueberries
  • 1 Teaspoon Lemon Zest
  • 1 Cup of Lemon Juice

In a saucepan over medium heat, bring the blueberries, sugar, lemon zest, and 1 cup of water to a boil. Then, let it simmer for 7-10 minutes so that the sugar can melt. Take this off of the heat and pour it through a sieve, allowing it to cool before using it further.

Once the blueberry mixture has cooled, pour it into a pitcher with the lemon juice and some ice. Stir in the remaining water and add some more blueberries to float on the top (if so desired). Enjoy it cool!
