  • 4 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced
  • ¼ cup of butter
  • ½ cup of dark brown sugar, packed
  • ¼ cup of raw or white sugar
  • 5 tablespoons of rum
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 4 cups of vanilla bean ice cream

First, peel and cut the bananas into thin horizontal slices and set aside. Then, melt the butter in a skillet over low heat. Whisk in sugar, cinnamon, and rum until the sauce bubbles. Take care to stir frequently to keep the sauce from burning. Lower heat and add the sliced bananas. Let cook for about five minutes or until the bananas are hot and slightly brown. To serve, add a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and a dash of with cinnamon. Enjoy!
