Thinking about the taste of fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil just makes my mouth water. Here is my simple, go to recipe that you can enjoy too! You will not be disappointed.

Serving Size / Yield

2 servings


  • 1 C. balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 C. honey
  • 3-4 large tomatoes sliced (or cherry tomatoes)
  • 1 container of fresh mozzarella balls
  • 1 C. basil leaves
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 3 Tbs. olive oil

In a saucepan, combine balsamic and vinegar and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let cook for about 10 minutes. Set aside to cool while you slice tomatoes and cut mozzarella balls in half. Arrange tomato and cheese slices on a plate along with basil leaves. Chop or leave basil leaves whole if desired. Drizzle balsamic over there top and sprinkle salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Enjoy!
