French toast is a breakfast favorite, but it is not always the most efficient thing to make for a crowd of people. But, this casserole version can be popped in the oven while you work on other food. And it’s just as sweet and delicious as other the traditional stovetop version!

  • 1 loaf of bread
  • 10 eggs
  • 3 cups of milk
  • 2 cups of caramel topping
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon of nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt

As the oven preheats to 400 degrees, whisk together the eggs, milk, caramel, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in a large bowl. Then, place the loaf of bread into a large baking pan and pour the egg mixture on top. Wait a moment for the eggs to soak into the bread before placing into the oven. Let bake for 40 minutes. While the French toast is still warm, drizzle the caramel on top. Serve with maple syrup and enjoy!
