Often times, we get too excited when we make chili and make too much. But one can only have so much of the same leftover chili. So turn it into something new with some cheese and cornbread!

  • 8 cups of leftover chili
  • 1 box of corn bread mix (8 oz.)
  • 1 cup of cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup milk, 2 percent
  • 1 egg

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Grease your baking dish and pour the leftover chili in it. Sprinkle a layer of corn bread on top.
In a large bowl, make the corn bread mix according to box directions. Evenly spoon the corn bread mixture on top of the chili and cheese.
Bake for 30-40 minutes, until the cornbread is done. Let set for 10 minutes, then serve!
