Repurpose that leftover mostaccioli into a cheesy pie that is perfect for any night of the week. This quick and easy dish is ready in just under 30 minutes and is made with a homemade meat sauce, tons of cheese and leftover pasta.

  • 2-3 C. leftover mostaccioli
  • 2 C. shredded cheese
  • 1 1/5 C. tomato sauce
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 T. garlic powder
  • 1 T. dried oregano
  • salt and pepper
  • cooking spray

Preheat oven at 350ºF.

In a skillet brown the ground beef, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Once fully cooked, drain oil, and pour tomato sauce in skillet, stirring frequently. Stir in spices and let simmer for 5-10 minutes.

In a deep round baking dish coated with cooking spray, pour about 1/2 cup of meat sauce in the bottom, then press leftover mostaccioli in pan and pour the remaining sauce over top of pasta. Top with shredded cheese and place in oven.

Let cook for 20-30 minutes, or until sauce is bubbling and cheese is melted and starts to brown. Take casserole out and let cool before serving.
