A simple recipe with a lot of taste.

  • 1 pkg. chocolate cake mix
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1/3 C. oil (use some to grease cake pan, pour rest into cake mix)
  • 3 eggs (or whatever your mix calls for)

Stir together (no mixer); pour into greased pan and bake according to cake mix directions. Cool about ten minutes with pan on a rack. "Flop" the end of the pan to loosen cake, rotate pan, flop again. Cool/serve warm with or without cherry vanilla ice cream.

  • do u add the pie filling to the cake mix before baking? I bet sprincklong with powdered sugar would be good also.
