One of the tastiest meals any one can enjoy during the winter is Salisbury steak with gravy. This is a fairly simple dish to prepare but is very tasty. It is popular across America and in is a delicacy elsewhere around the world. The simple gravy will flavor the stakes and result in a delicious meal. Serve with some freshly mashed potatoes and a salad to complete the meal!

  • 1 can of sliced mushroom
  • 1.5 cups of water
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 egg beaten
  • ¼ cup of milk
  • ¼ cup of dried bread crumbs
  • Dry onion soup mix
  • 1.5 pounds of ground beef

Mix the beef with crumbs, egg, milk and the soup mix. Then shape the mixture into patties. It should turn out about 4-6 patties.

Brown patties in a skillet. Once brown, remove and dry of excess oil using paper towels. Then add onion soup mix to the flour and stir gently with mushrooms and water. Cover and cook for about 20 minutes on low heat. Stir occaisionally.
