  • 10 oz. fresh white mushrooms, wiped clean
  • 1 C. flour
  • 1/2 C. cornstarch
  • 3/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 C. water
  • 2 C. breadcrumbs
  • 1 C. vegetable oil

Heat oil in a large skillet. Combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Add water and stir until batter thickens. Dip mushrooms into batter and place in oil until golden. Drain mushrooms on paper towel and serve.
