Everyone loves burgers. But you haven’t tried burgers made with cola. This recipe has a bit of a twist but tastes great!

  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 a cup of cola
  • 1/2 a cup of crushed saltines (about 15)
  • 6 tablespoons of French salad dressing, divided
  • 2 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1-1/2 pounds of ground beef
  • 6 hamburger buns, split
  • ½ an onion, sliced and set aside
  • ½ a tomato, sliced and set aside
  • 4 stalks of lettuce, rinsed and chopped and set aside
  • condiments for your burger (optional)
  • 6 slices of American cheese, 1 for each burger

First, take the egg, 1/4 cup of cola, cracker crumbs, 2 tablespoons of salad dressing, Parmesan and salt. Mix all these ingredients well in a mixing bowl.
Then, once the mixture is mixed completely, crush and crumble the beef over the mixture. Make sure to mix it in thoroughly. Then, shape the mixture into six 3/4-in. thick patties.
Next, mix the rest of the cola and the salad dressing together. Set aside.
Finally, take the patties and grill them uncovered. The heat should be set at medium-hot heat for 3 minutes on each side. Brush the meat with the cola mixture. Add an extra 8-10 minutes for cooking time, making sure to baste the patties and turn them frequently so that way they don’t burn.
When the patties are done cooking, take the lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and condiments and build your burger on the buns.
