What do pasta, pizza, cheese sticks and garlic bread have in common? They all need marinara sauce, of course! And nobody has marinara sauce like Olive Garden. Now you can have this extremely versatile and tasty sauce whenever you'd like, right from your own kitchen! They go great with our Copycat TGI Friday's Mozzarella Sticks, too.

Serving Size / Yield

3 cups


  • ΒΌ C. extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 garlic clovers, peeled
  • 1 Tbs. tomato paste
  • 1 35 oz. can whole peeled Italian tomatoes
  • Handful basil leaves
  • Italian seasoning
  • 1 Tbs. fresh oregano leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

In a large sauce pan, warm extra virgin olive oil on medium heat
Add the garlic and cook. Do not burn the garlic!
Add the tomato paste, and the entire can of whole tomatoes
Crush the tomatoes with a wooden spoon
Mix in basil (whole) oregano, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper
Bring to a boil, then turn hear down and allow to simmer and reduce for about thirty minutes
Remove as much basil and cloves of garlic
Serve immediately over pasta or cool and store in an air-tight jar in the fridge
