  • 4 C. chicken broth
  • 2 C. water
  • 2 boneless chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
  • 1 (4 oz.) package wild rice (with seasoning packet)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ¾ C. all-purpose flour
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 C. heavy cream

In a large pot, bring chicken broth, water, and shredded chicken to a boil. Stir in rice, cover, and remove from heat. In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in seasoning packet. Whisk in flour, salt, and pepper. Gradually add in cream and cook for a few minutes to thicken while whisking. Stir mixture into your soup broth, return to heat, and cook for about 10 to 15 minutes.
