  • 1/2 C. butter
  • 6 C. mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 C. onion, chopped
  • 1/2 C. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 4 C. water
  • 2 C. half-and-half
  • 2 C. sour cream
  • 1 (10-oz.) can chicken broth
  • 1/2 C. parsley, chopped

Heat butter in large skillet over medium heat. Add mushrooms and onions. Saute for about 5 to 6 minutes or until mushrooms are tender. Sprinkle with flour, salt and pepper. Mix well. Pour mixture in slow cooker. Beat in water, half-and-half, sour cream and chicken broth. Cook and cover on low for 4 hours. Change temperature to high. Cook 1 hour more while stirring occasionally. Stir in parsley and serve.
