Once you cook the meat, the crockpot does the rest.

  • Hubby said it lacked flavor. Forgot to use the pepperoni as was in a rush before Shabbat began. Used a jar of pasta sauce instead of pizza sauce. I didn't taste due to the wheat noodles.

  • I have been making this recipe for years..everything same except I combine the meat, onions, mushrooms, seasonings and sauce. Then layer 1/2 the meat sauce, 1/2 noodles ( mine uses broad egg noodles), 1/2 pepperoni, 1/2 the cheese. Mine also uses mozzarella and cheddar (shredded). It never takes more then 2 1/2 to 3 hours at the most to be done and ready to eat. You can make it ahead and you can freeze it.

  • Sounds yummy and close to something I make, but why so long in the slow cooker? The meat and pasta are cooked already.
