  • 1 box of gingerbread cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 C. water
  • 2 Tbs. cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • Chocolate Ganache:
  • 2/3 C. heavy whipping cream
  • 3/4 C. semisweet baking chocolate, chopped

Prepare your oven at 350 degrees. Follow package directions when creating cake mix batter. Combine cocoa powder. Pour cake batter into 8-inch square pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. For chocolate ganache, heat whipping cream over low heat until hot. Stir in chocolate until melted with cream. Let it sit for 5 minutes and then spread chocolate ganache over gingerbread cake. Cut into small pieces before serving to guests.
