  • Lemon aioli:
  • 1/3 C. mayonnaise
  • Lemon Zest
  • Dash of Tabasco
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Calamari:
  • 1 lb. calamari, sliced into 1/2 inch rings
  • ½ C. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. cayenne
  • 1 tsp. red chili flakes
  • 1 C. flour
  • 2 tsp. paprika
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • Oil for frying
  • Chopped parsley
  • Lemon wedges

Put together the lemon aioli by mixing together the mayonnaise and Tabasco sauce. Sink the calamari into the buttermilk for 25-30 minutes. Preheat the frying oil until it’s hot. Mix the flour with the seasonings. Dredge the calamari in the seasoned flour, evenly coating the calamari. Place the calamari into the heated oil an let it fry until golden brown. Remove from the pan and place the calamari onto a plate lined with paper towel. Repeat until all calamari is fried. Dash some parsley on top and place the lemon wedges and lemon aioli on the side.
