Festive Cherry Poke Cake

This is one of those recipes that is so simple and easy, but looks and tastes like it took a lot of effort on a plate. The bright color of the cherry and the way it contrasts with the white cake and whipped cream makes it festive enough for various occasions.

Directions

After you make the cake according to box directions and it is completely cooled, take a fork and poke holes all over it, then ice it with the fluffy white frosting. Once iced evenly, pour the jar of maraschino cherries and its syrup over the cake.
Slice and serve immediately so the cake doesn’t get too soaked!
