This is just like grandma used to make! This can be enjoyed year-round by using canned peaches instead but fresh, peaches with these spices will be even tangier and sweeter.

  • 10 peaches, sliced and de-pitted
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon of cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of white sugar
  • ½ cup of butter, cold
  • ½ cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • Pinch of salt

While the oven preheats to 400 degrees, mix together the peaches, sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Place into a baking dish and let cook for five minutes as the crust is being prepared.
As the filling bakes, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Fold in the cold butter until well mixed, then mix in the milk. Finally, spread the crust into a pan and spoon the peach filling into the center. Bake the cobbler for 30 minutes, let cool and enjoy!
