This cobbler taste just like grandma used to make without all of the hassles. This is a great basic recipe so you can swap blueberries out with any fruit of your choice.

  • 3 cups of blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 ½ cup of sugar, divided
  • 1 cup of self-rising flour
  • ¾ cup of milk
  • ½ cup of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt

As the oven preheats to 350 degrees, microwave the butter in a large bowl for 30 seconds, or until melted. Add the flour, milk and half of the sugar to the butter and mix until a smooth batter is formed. Pour the batter into a medium-size baking sheet and set aside. Next, heat a skillet over medium heat and add the blueberries, sugar, lemon juice, and salt. Cook for 5 minutes, or until the mixture comes to a slight boil. Pour the blueberries over the batter and bake for 40 minutes. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream to make this even sweeter!
