These Grilled Halibut Tacos are simple to make, but have a powerful flavor. Serve with a hearty helping of cole slaw and enjoy the rich taste. The tang of citrus juice and the cayenne add a special zing to the tacos. They will leave you craving more.

  • 4 8 oz. halibut fillets
  • olive oil
  • 3 avocados, pitted and skins removed
  • 1 C. sour cream
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 head lettuce, chopped
  • 12 flour tortillas
  • 1 juice of lime
  • 1 juice of lemon
  • salt and pepper to taste

Heat your grill to high heat
Toss the halibut fillets with enough oil to lightly coat
Season with salt and pepper and lay on the grill
Cook the fish for 5 minutes and flip over
Cook for another 5 minutes and remove from the heat
Squeeze the lime juice over the fish
In a blender, blend the avocado, lemon juice, sour cream, cayenne pepper and 1 tsp. salt until smooth
Pour into a bowl and add the tomatoes and onion. Set aside
Shred the fish into flakes
Lay out the tortillas and place the fish on top of each one
Top with lettuce and avocado sauce
Fold the tacos over before serving
