Stir fry without the carbs, enough said. This recipe has a little bit of spice and the ground beef will add a bit of protein. It’s also a great lunch to bring your energy back up during your midday slump.

  • ½ pound of ground beef
  • 4 cups of cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup of carrots, shredded
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • 1 stalk of spring onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Sesame seeds, to garnish
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon of ground ginger

Cook seasoned ground beef until brown in a medium skillet. Meanwhile, heat a separate large skillet over medium heat and then add in the cabbage, carrots, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Cook until slightly wilted. Lower the heat, then add in soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and ground ginger. Simmer for five minutes before serving with meat, green onions, and sesame seeds.
