Everyone will love this German appetizer, if they can't stand Cabbage. It can be made from scratch, but I like to make it semi-homemade using frozen rolls. It freezes nicely and is ready to pull out of the freezer when needed. To reheat, thaw first and place in a 350 degree oven or microwave on high covered with a damp paper towel for 45 seconds.   • 1 (36 count) pkg. Yorders Frozen Bread Dough
  • 1 1/2 C. shredded cabbage
  • 2 med. onions chopped
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 3 Tbs. Vegetable oil
  • 1/4 C. melted butter

Defrost rolls and let them raise for about 2 or 3 hours.

Shred cabbage in food processor, and cook it in hot oil until tender. Dice onion and mix into ground beef. Season with salt and peper and cook until done. Mix cabbage with beef. Roll out rolls and place some of the grounb beef mixture inside.  Fold up 4 corners and place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake for 13 to 15 minutes at 425 degrees.  Brush with melted butter.
